Kendall was rescued from Lee County VA. She is about 3 months old & so sweet! She gets along with dogs, cats and kids. She is working on basic manners, leash walking and crate training. Kendall is a sweet, loving, goofy, wond4erful pup. She has learned a few commands already in less than a week. She’s sleeping through the night in her crate, and is great about going potty outside and not in the house even at her young age. She picks up on routine quickly, loves lounging time with her people, and is very even tempered. She’s great with adults, kids, other dogs, and our cat who has been getting nosy when she’s resting in her crate and she’s totally unphased. (see video)
Her biggest challenge is when she has to be alone, she doesn’t like not being with her people. She does seem to be the kind of pup who has her one favorite person (she will whine a bit longer at night before settling down for sleep, about 15 mins, if I’m not in the room sleeping with her, but eventually she does settle down with my daughter. She’s sleeping crated in her room nightly). However, she’s attentive to every human who is hanging with her for meal time, outside/leash time, chill time, etc and sits for treats and is working on sitting for putting her leash on, though we still have lots of excited wiggles when it’s outside time.
She’s started playing over the last couple days. She will take her stuffed ice cream cone and throw it in the air and chase it around and roll around with it which is adorable. She tuckers herself out and takes a nap. She loves chewing on a split antler we have, it’s her favorite chew. She will speak up when we’re outside and someone walks by, especially with another pup friend, but she does not pull or lunge or otherwise try to run at other pups or people at all, she sticks with her person and says her piece and responds well if we say that’s enough now. She made herself at home quickly, she’s definitely a home/family dog at heart. Knows where to go in and out, does her business in her identified spots, and heads to the door like “ok, time for the couch and my people and toys again!”
We also took her to my son’s baseball game last Thursday and she did amazing. Very well behaved, no jumping or pulling at anyone or any other pups there, chilled out next to us or in my lap while we watched the game and my daughter and her friend took her for a couple quick walks around the complex and she was happy as could be. She was very popular and was calm but wiggly butted for all the pets and love, very well behaved. We didn’t have a single worry or indication of her escalating into any negative behaviors at all. When traveling she sits on the floor between the two middle row seats and rests her chin on the center console of the front. It’s adorable. To meet Kendall email bragincinfo@gmail.com her adoption fee is $350 and includes age appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip & spay.
